Root Unlocking Bootloader

This will be my first nexus device, but I think you need to make sure to reset google wallet from within the app itself before rooting since it wont work after.

Apparently you have to do this every time you flash a new Rom, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think I'll unlock first and then sign in to everything, haven't heard any problems with this over on XDA.

I signed in, got all of my credits and then unlocked and rooted. Absolutely the easiest device I've ever unlocked and rooted. Took all of 13 seconds once the drivers were installed on the device.

As long as you don't initialize Wallet before in locking then you are good to go. I got my GPlay credit secured, then unlocked, rooted, then got Google Wallet setup.

I already initialized Wallet before doing any unlock/root. What does that mean? What do I lose? The $10?

I didn't even lose the $10. I did the unlock, then launched Wallet, and it forced me to set it up again. Then, when I added the Google Pre-Paid Card, my $10 was there.

Quoting myself because my advice was to ensure that you a didn't brick the secure element as well as ensure you for your credit. I don't like taking a risk where there isn't a need. That said, glad everyone has had success.
