Help Unlocking Desire HD

This is probably a stupid question but is there an issue with unlocking a Desire HD from Vodafone UK? I was looking for code websites and one for instance said they couldn't supply codes for Desire HDs and Desire Zs etc...

For the record I'm not a customer of Vodafone...

If this is possible are there any recommendations for the UK?

the fone is unlocked....its just branded! you can use any sim but the handset will still have the voda apps etc on....it can be de-branded but not sure where.

only downsides to branding is somtimes logos on the handset (not on DHD) logo on start up. limitations on things, cannot get internet for other networks only wif-fi, updates only when network approves...
