I'm a dumb user of a smartphone looking for help. I called AT&T before leaving the USA to get the unlock code for my phone. I got it in just a few minutes. I went overseas, purchased my new Digicel SIM card and inserted it into my phone. I get the "SIM network unlock PIN" prompt. I enter the code given to me by AT&T and it then tells me that the password is incorrect.
What am I doing wrong? Did AT&T give me the wrong code?
When I put my AT&T SIM card back in the phone, it tells me that I'm connected to the Digicel network and roaming charges will apply.
