Hey guys, another question regardin ExtremeNerds solution to unlocking. So S3 recives only micro sims and my sim is regular size. I don't know if I mentioned this, but I've got a friend who has a micro sim from the same carrier I have, so I was planning on borrowing his sim to unlock the phone.
Now, my dad finally resolved the problems he had with his dual sim Samsung, so he just now gave me the S3, and I don't know when I'll be able to get together with the friend with micro sim.
So - can I use ExtremeNerds unlocking method without using a VIP (Vodaphone) sim card at all, and if I can, is there a way to tell if the unlock was succesful? There's a T-mobile intro on phone startup now, will it go away if I succesfully unlock the phone? Probably not, but I don't feel like waiting another week or two to unlock this phone, so I'd like to know if there's a way of checking if the phone is unlocked without actually putting in the sim (I don't want to chop mine down to size before the phone is unlocked, cause if this fails I will be without a phone till at least thursday and that's not an option
