Help Unlocking issues

First time user here i really need some help im trying to unlock my gs3 and i've been on youtube but all the things i try i can't get past the first step, like i punch in the code *#197328640# but nothing happens and i've looked everywhere for someone with the same problem i find the same question but no answer??!!! I have verizon and want to go to t-mobile (cheaper service) but i can't get even get started so im so frustrated right now i cant tell you. Idk if i havent followed procedure correctly or what please help me!!!

You should be able to unlock it for talk/text, from my recent efforts (with galaxy s4) I havent been able to get data to work but im still working on it. You need to get into the dailer menus and change some settings.

try these dialer codes let me know if they work ;

---> *#22745927 (enable hidden menu)
---> *#7284# (Select Qualcomm USB Settings > Select DM + MODEM + ADB or RNDIS + DM + MODEM)

also ... *#197328640# is for the service menu, you would need to enable the hidden menus first.
For what your trying to accomplish, you are also going to need your spc/MSL code which i can assist you with if need be.

did those dialer codes work for you? enter them from the phone screen

Unless there's another action to do after I put in those codes then no those codes didn't do anything no screen changes or anything unless theres something in im not doing right before what I'm doing ....I feel like an idiot !!
