Help Unread message count help

Hi guys, fairly new to my Optimus one P500 phone.

I've installed SMS go pro and for some reason on my home unlock screen it shows a number of unread message, but I have read all my messages and have told the old sms software not to show notifications. How can I stop this notification on the unlock screen?? any help would be great.

New to androids so still learning

Do you have any 3rd party notification apps installed? ADW Notifier or the GO Launcher Ex notification app?

No, I've only got GO SMS Pro, but no extras.

just open the stock messging app and it will go
