Root unrevoked3----->CM6

Newbie
Trying to install CM6 unto my rooted evo.Used the one click method, not sure what im doing wrong but when flashing i get an error. is it even possible? I tried to read instructions after instructions and i hate to make a new post for being a noob, but im just plain ol stuck. Not sure what info you guys need to help me out but you ask ill answer. Thanks in advance.
 
i think you need a different bootloader or something maybe someone else will be able to help i cant remember what i had to do.

I'm curious... Did you use Unrevoked3 or Unrevoked Forever? I used the first one so I'm assuming I don't need to install the ENG bootloader? The XDA website says you need it if you installed Forever.

I used the First one. I'm NOT rooted for ever. Used Unrevoked3.21
 
From what I'm reading, "Unrevoked 3" does do the same as "Unrevoked Forever" so the ENG bootloader is still required?
 
Go to Bootloader screen. Shut your phone off & then hold your Volume Up & Power button in at the same time. The screen will open and then the second line reads HBOOT-0.93.0000 you need the 0.76.2000 for CM6.
