Hello

Im trying to unroot my desire but im unable couse i keep getting the message "main version is older". Ive downloaded the latest RUU, extracted the rom installed to the sd card but the installation keeps failing. Ive no usb data cable so thats why im trying this method. Is there someone who can help me? Ive been reading for like 8 hours now and the information is just overwelming me. Its a unbranded desire and its running the
cyanogenmod 7.0.0-rc2
Hboot 0.93.0001
Kernel version 2.6.37.2
Baseband version 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2

Do i need to downgrade first? Tia!

What exactly do you do when you extract the rom from the RUU and run from SD? What's the error message?

PB99IMG.zip

or do you have PB99IMG.zip.zip?

The problem is the latest RUU is android 2.2 and cyanogen is 2.3. You can't overwrite 2.3 with 2.2.

Flash an older 2.2 custom rom then use the RUU. Or like KB said, downgrader.
