Unroot the Optimus?

Almost time to change phones, and just when you don't expect it, the phone won't unroot. I've been trying everything, Z4root, the original app i used to root, won't unroot, androot won't work, and superoneclick kept freezing.

This is killing me from the inside out. Now superuser says there is an update, I try and it will just put a .zip file in my SDcard. I'm not tech smart at all, I'd just really like to unroot and never root again it's wasted my time over all.

Before the Mod moves it, is there a reason why you need to unroot? If you're returning it for warranty work, there's a huge chance you won't be caught for being rooted. Either way, wish you luck.

I'm just returning to get a new phone, i don't want to get in any trouble of sorts. Supposedly you void the warranty? I'm confused, if this does not keep me from getting a new phone when the contract expires then I'm more then glad to keep it the way it is.

Why turn the phone in at all? If you're at your new-every-2, just keep your OG droid so you have a phone to fall back on and activate in case of your new phone going suicidal and dunking itself in a lake or something. Also, you want to make sure you a have smart phone backup so you don't lose your precious, precious unlimited data plan.

By god. The stress is relieved. I had my panties in a bunch thinking something terrible would happen when i got a new phone, but i don't need to turn it in? That's great. Thank you so much.
