Root Unroot

So a few months ago I [TRIED] rooting my phone. Upon notice, I did not root correctly and non of the the required rooted apps work, and root checkers say I am not rooted. Even though my phone appears to not be rooted, I still have the yellow triangle upon boot-up.
1: How do I remove this triangle?
2: Will it affect me upgrading my phone with Sprint if I cannot remove it?

First off welcome to the site :hello:

Second, as to your #1, my frail recollection is that the yellow triangle is part of the image you might see in stock recovery, however your #2 begs for this:

Please tell us exactly which make and model phone you are asking about. This section is for the Motorola A855 Droid which was exclusive to Verizon and not Sprint, so you are probably talking about a different make and model phone.

Once you provide that we can both provide better answers and also move this thread to the appropriate section to give it more exposure from members familiar with your exact device.

Sorry for the lack of information, as I did not think the post through.
Anyways, I found the Stock Kernel for Sprint and installed it to my phone, removing the triangle and restoring everything to normal. The only issue is I lost all my apps & contacts.
Thank you for the attempt to help though!

Glad you got it fixed, but it is killing me to know what make and model phone you are/were dealing with . . . . . . because it certainly isn't the Motorola Droid.
