The UK has things like CEX and Cash Converters, but doubt they'll pay anything for a malfunctioning phone. They only give you a fraction of its worth if it's perfectly working.
Kolio - i tried them to be honest. They give a fraction of the cost. I'd be looking at about £80-£100 for a £225 layout. Quite a drop.
iowa - thanks I just hope this BTU firmware i've downloaded is the same as what was on when Samsung shipped the phone out as it's taken about 2:30hrs to download.
EDIT: Damn. The rar file failed. That was 2 hours wasted
So actually you really need the stock firmware unbranded. See the model of the phone. Maybe is a sepparate model of the same phone that is unbranded. For example the LG L70 has 3 different models (D320, D320n with NFC and MS323).
After you got the exact model (GT-S7580 for SG Trend Plus for example), Google for the stock firmware. (Or Bing it, you may be surprised that for some searches Bing gives you search results better than Google)
That may be it. So tell us the exact same model so we can be more precise.
