Root unrooting

im having quite a time unrooting.

is there an easy way to unroot?

-im running stock 2.1 rooted
-hboot shows 0.93
-showing s-on

ive tried many methods with no success.

i either get 140 bootloader version error when running an RUU

or

main version is older when trying to update the image file.

anybody have any ideas?

just want to get back to stock and unrooted.

Thanks! :)

trying to unroot, i ended up flashing "Supersonic_1.32.651.6_rooted.zip"

when it all came back up, it said there is a system upgrade 1.47.651.1

can i just install this to update and lose root? or should i manually go about updating a stock RUU?

Thanks!

Try the install first. It should work, and if so will save you the time of having to deal with another RUU.

If it doesn't then go to different RUU.

well scratch that idea lol...that didnt work

That's strange. It prompted the update but wouldn't execute it?

Did it give an error of any kind? Either way, I guess you're going to be downloading the correct RUU now ey?

By the way, why are you removing root?

yea...attempted to install the update

goes into recovery and begins the update, then an error comes up saying

"assert failed: apply-patch_check ("/system/build.prob". "189001ad085fe03e:unknown command [5d008dcfcec19341a81146b55"]

e:error in /caches/OTA-Supersonic_1.47.651.1-1.32.zip

installation aborted.

thats new to me.

im unrooting cause i have to take my phone to sprint to hopefully get replaced

think i got it to work finally

think i had to do part 2 of toasts nand unlock in order to install the stock 2.2 RUU

thanks again
