not particularly

Your opinion, as is mine.

Could be valuable info for those looking to get this device & still think this is not an option. Most folks don't visit the root section unless they are alread rooted or thinking about it.

if youre not thinking about rooting...why would a locked bootloader sway your decision?

Because if you werent thinking about rooting with a locked bootloader, but will if it is unlocked...this thread is very valuable to you. ;) Dont argue just to argue.

This is why its not in the root section. Great point.

Any reasonable and prudent person looking for root information will look in the "All Things Root" forum.

Any reasonable and prudent person looking for Verizon-specific information will look in the Verizon forum.

Anywhere else is just irrelevant spam; this needs to go where it belongs.

Besides, if this post isn't moved, the name of the forum must change since it won't be All Things Root! ;)

Then we'll have human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

This is huge *news* and shouldn't be relegated to the root section. I haven't rooted and probably won't as long as I can continue to do what I need with my phone without. That said, I probably wouldn't have known about this if it was just in the root section.

All the root users want the post in the root section, and all the normal users want it to stay. Its like a battle of two worlds.

but this doesnt make any sense!...we have had root weeks...root was not effected one bit by the locked bootloader...people who wanted to root would have known this

Then we'll have human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

wait till normal business hours tomorrow...if you visit an Android related news site this will be THE headline...

This will move to the root forum after a sojourn here in the non-root section.

I think potential buyers considering root do look in the ATR section, and this forum is so busy, it's not destined to be long for attention in the general population.

That's the best compromise solution I can think of. If anyone disagrees, please PM me -

- because I don't think it helps SGS3 newcomers to come to this thread and find the majority discussion is about the thread, not the OP contents. ;)

Cheers, thanks. :)

Since the topic never really got on topic so to speak. You could probably just lock this thread as it's already being discussed in ATR.

Just my 2 cents
