Help Unstable PC connection via USB

I have checked other threads regarding PC connection but couldn't find any regarding this problem.

I am using windows xp, i am having trouble keeping a stable USB connection with the Kies.

At first the phone gets connected but remains connected only for a few seconds, it disconnects and reconnects. This just keeps on going forever.

I have tried switching usb ports, restarting both the PC and the phone and reinstalled the drivers many times, nothing seems to help.

Any kind of help would be really appreciated.

If you are relying on the native USB tethering application, you might try Easytether or a similar app. I use it with 2.2 and am quite happy.
 
is this app for connecting via internet?...i was jst hoping for a fix to usb connection.

i just want to run the mass storage system easily....
 
the first time i connected, the connection remained good for a few minutes but then again it keeps on disconnecting.

Any other tip??
 
I have tried switching the cable, now i am getting this error before it disconnects.

Window-No Disk

I have also spent a lot of time trying to find a solution to a connection problem between the device (Ace) and the PC. I had serious problem just after purchase owing to firmware change which was resolved with a new phone - long story.

Now the replacement phone was workiking well - then for some unknown reason Kies software will not connect to the device. I have done the following:

a. updated Kies to the latest version
b. Uninstalled Kies then downloaded the latest verion, installed and updated
c. Tried connecting with another USB cable without sucess.
d. Tried connecting with another cable and PC (that works with another Galaxy device) without success

I have emailed Samsung Service Centre currently 3 times without even an acknowledgement and tried phoning the customer services, count of 71 calls no response.

Sync. is important to me, its a feature that I have been used for many, many years on another phone which is at least 7 years old and I must admit had a sync. that is faster, easier and covered a much greater scope.

Has anyone any experience of connection failure?
 
Hii i m also suffering from d same prblm but don't worry it takes time nd u hav to switch between usb teethring nd connext to usb for copy file. Use card reader instead of it for data trnsfr nd mobile ap for net.
Hit's a firmware prblm. Hope it solve d prblm :)

Its not just the Kies guys, i can't even use mass storage with this connection.

Although i can substitute that problem by using a card reader, but i need to use odin also and that cannot be done unless the connection is stable.



I have tried other pc and it seems its a windows problem, i have upgraded finally and rooted.
 
If you have the problem with the ACE, I return it to a service centre (under warrenty), it was received by the service without question as though it was aknown problem. The phone software was reinstalled, now all is fine again. Only downside, you have to re-sync all your data and reinstall other apps.
