hello .. i am new to android , and have got a htc desire .. . but i have one problem that has been annoying me since i have got the phone.

my problem is that when i try to download some applications it does not allow me to it says they is no unsufficent space on this device but there is i have alot of space on my sd card also on my phone so dont knw why it is saying this. is they any solutions to this promblem? plz help fnks :)

The best way to resolve the low space issue is to root your phone and install a custom rom which will allow you to move your applications to the SD card.
There are ways to force apps to SD without rooting but would recommend rooting at it allows a lot more possibilities.
You could also s-off which would allow a custom h-boot and there fore saving even more space.
Have a read of the guides under the desire all things root thread and ask away with questions / queries. But have a search first ad most thing have been asked.
Enjoy you desire

thank you fo your help but i have moved al my applications to sd card but stil the problem is they! wil i have to stil root it?

I assume you are running 2.2 therefore whilst the app says moved to SD card part of the data remains on the internal memory and useless you have used the unrooted method of moving apps some will still be on your internal memory.
I think the best solution is to root as this will enable you to move the dalvik cache as well if you are desperate for space.
It maybe worth posting your problem in the correct forum section instead of introductions as people with more knowledge than myself will see it.
But my guess is rooting is the way forward and if this is something you want to consider make sure you fully understand the guides on the desire all things root forum before you start as it will save you grief in the long run.
Have fun
