Unusual Behavior

I've had this Huawei Watch for just about 2 months now.

I have received a notification to "Buy Napkins".

This has happened twice; The second time just happened a few minutes ago.

I checked Agenda, the Apple Calendar, Apple iCloud Reminders, and did a search on the phone for "Buy Napkins" and nothing shows up.

After a few minutes it goes away and I can't find a way to bring it back.

Gremlins?
 
IIRC you are using the Huatch with an iPhone. I'm not sure how similar the wear app is in that. On Android you can tap the phone, tap setting and check phone storage. It will list the apps installed on your watch. It's the only way I know to tell which apps have a wear component.
 
Does the same notification also show on the phone. If so, for Android you would long press on the phone notification to get "app details" about the app which generated the notification.

If didn't show on phone, try swiping right-to-left on the watch notification...that often gives more action options related to the notification (examples: "reply", "open on phone"), which may give a clue about the origin of the notification
 
electricpete: It does not show on the phone and in the two times it appeared, it disappeared quickly so I couldn't do anything.

Unforgiven: What does IIRC mean?

(ps... have you checked with your wife/girlfriend/significant other if they want you to buy napkins? ;) )
 
I remember messing with Google back when I first got the watch and saying "Buy napkins" so maybe that's floating around in space somewhere.

Ha, that's probably it..... you set a Google now reminder for yourself. I don't know why it came back more than once (I'm not sure if Google reminders have a recurring feature).

Try saying "what are my reminders"...it should show your future and past Google now reminders.

I had fooled around with the watch when I got it and never realized what I did. Funny that it would just pop up randomly like that though. Maybe because I was near the supermarket? That would be quite the trick.
