Help Unwanted auto scrolling in droid

After a while, when I'm reading the Drudge Report, or just looking at the page where all of the apps are stored it will jump scroll to the bottom of the page, and stay there.
If I use the task cleaner it sometimes fixes it for a while. Even turning the phone off then back on doesn't always fix it.
Is the memory manager buggy?

That is really annoying, Mine does the same I dont know how to fix it, its like it gets stuck on the bottom of the page

Perhaps a bad trackball? (In other words, the phone thinks that the trackball is constantly rolling down.) Many Erises have reported that problem.

Yep, probably the trackball acting up.

My Eris was autoscrolling to the point where it was virtually unusable. It's a known hardware problem. Trackball cleaning didnt' help. Call tech support and have them send you a new phone (worked for me!)
