Upcoming Flagship Phones for Verizon?

I'm due for an upgrade, but not sure I'll take it yet, as I'm not impressed with what's on the current market(Galaxy S3 is nice, I'll admit).

I was hoping for more out of the Motorola HD, but that's looking like an average phone compared to what's out.

Anyhow, I've been a little out of the loop, what phones are on the horizon that people are holding out for from Verizon?

The two that I have heard about are the HD, and an HTC competitor to the Galaxy Note.

Mostly just rumors and leaks at this point, but I can always hope. It's the phone I'm hoping will be my next smartphone.

If you are not a rooter/romer/ and like do not care about functionality and pure AOSP devices, then the moto devices are perfect!

they are without a doubt some of the best devices out now. However development wise they are severely crippled

Hopefully 5 Nexus phones are coming to all the major US carriers. If one of them comes to VZ, then I'd get that.

Would be the first Moto phone since the OG DROID if it wasn't...

HTC has usually been unlock and if it is locked they provide a website to unlock it.

samsung should be able to be unlocked anyway

What you ideally want is a phone that can achieve S-OFF though...not just unlocked bootloader. If you can't then bootloader is sufficient.
