Update: 1.29.707.11

So after seeing everyone receive updates I've been impatiently waiting. Tonight over here in Thailand I just got and installed Update: 1.29.707.11
I have a feeling that that my One X is branded although the only sign of this is some uninstallable apps from Singapore Telecom (singtel). I did not purchase the phone from them and don't use their network. No biggy but I would have preferred unbranded.
Does the update I have mean It's branded given its .707 and not .401?

Thanks.

I don’t think your phone is branded.
My phone is unbranded. Bought it from an authorized HTC dealer in Malaysia. My phone had this Singtel Apps showing up after updating to 1.28. My phone was with ver 1.26 when I bought it in April. Updated to ver 1.29.707.11 this morning. These Singtel apps are still there.

You actually don’t see these apps in the normal menu but only in the play store screen. I informed HTC on this when I updated to ver 1.28 but did not receive any reply why these apps got in the update.

Cheers.

Yeah, unfortunately we are branded. I also live in Thailand bought my One X here. I finally got the update last night as well. You can tell by looking at the last digits of your device. For a while I didn't think we were ever going to get the update. Looks like a new update is about to come out for everyone else as well...

Thanks for the replies guys.

It probably won't make any difference at all to the phone and performance but like both of you, looks like we have to wait impatiently for the updates.

Guess I'm just fussy but I only want the default HTC apps and those I install myself.

I would think that HTC SE Asia is based in Singapore and they consider everyone else can put up with what they want for Singapore.

The next time I buy a HTC product I'm going to source it from the UK and get a truely unbranded version.

I was madly in love with my One X but now I just like it a lot :(

Thanks
