it's a possibility but don't hold your breath. I'm hoping, but...I guess I wouldn't hang on to the BH2 if your liking it is dependent on it having a current build of android. if you like the phone keep it, then if it gets 2.1 or higher, cool. but it may not, and I wouldn't hold onto it any longer if you don't like it.
