Hi all I just wanted to know is it safe to use Aptoide updates considering that Google Play Store don't have the same updates for the apps that's on your device to be updated?

Aptoide has a very poor safety record. I would never recommend anyone use it.

The question is, why does the play Store not have the update. If you use a browser to access it, without logging in to your Google account, can you see that update? If you can, but it doesn't show on your phone, that probably means it isn't compatible.

If you really want to try an external source, see whether apkmirror.com has a copy.

Thanks, I understand your question and maybe I should have cobble mine more clearly. But this the issue.. When I downloaded Aptoide it had a few of my installed apps showing there was updates for them. It even showed my device launcher had an update but the one that was in Google Play Store wasn't compatible with my device. Now the same launcher that wasn't compatible for my device in Google Play Store, Aptoide had it and I updated it using Aptoide and it's working with no problems. So that's the reason why I was asking this question, was the updates safe to use from Aptoide?

If it's not from the play store who knows what you'll get?

True, I was thinking they were mirror apps and since it didn't toggle anything from my Norton's anti malware and virus app, I thought it was ok from that perspective but I didn't know how safe there were to use from a different perspective.

I'm thinking with untrusted sources those 'updates' could contain undesirable ads, spyware, background bitcoin mining, etc. Basically extra things that are not allowed in Google Play, but the developer or some other third-party wants to make more $$$.

Yeah, that's the problem with aptoide. There certainly is stuff on there that's safe. There's also certainly stuff on there that is not. The problem is how to know which is which.

Hey, thanks I took your advice in apkmirror.com. I found the exact stock launcher for my device and its running flawlessly right now. Much thanks again
