Root update prl and ics?

Newbie
Anybody know if ##25327# will work on custom ROMs or will it wipe all data? I know it updates to latest pro and latest its update, I just don't want to have to reset every life of data like (music). Would appreciate any help:)
 
If the custom ROM is a Sense ROM and has the EPST app, ##775# should work to get you to the Update PRL screen. You'll just need your MSL code. I changed my PRL with this method. Just put the PRL file on your SD card.

It will not data reset the phone.

I updated with the OTA when I got the phone so I don't know if it wipes the data or not. Hopefully someone else will chime in on that note.
What you can do, though, is download the zip from here and flash it in HBOOT. It includes the latest OTA update and root with no custom recovery needed. This will, however, wipe the phone so do a backup with Titantium Backup or MyBackup-Root prior to flashing so you can restore afterwards.

Everytime I choose update prl in the menue it stays the same.. I'm looking for instructions on to change in using cdma workshop.. Or the correct code to access the prl menue. ##775 doesn't work on my Sprint evo design..

I believe the code is ##775#, you must put the # at the end of string! These codes are very type specific, so try that first
 
Not sure where to go from where you are at:/ I will keep looking, and eventually we can find the answer. Which I. Suspect will help many others also!!!
