Update problem.

I cant search for updates on my phone. Download updates manually, automatically or scheduled software updates dont respond.

Is this an unlocked and unbranded S6? It's my understanding that if there are no carrier restrictions, then the updates come from Samsung directly and you must use Kies to get them.

I always updated the phone directly without Kies but now is not responding.

How long has this been going on? It could just bee that the update servers are temporarily offline.

Try a cache partition wipe:
https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-clear-the-cache-on-a-galaxy-s6-edge

This cures a lot of the unexplained.
If that doesn't do it,boot into safe mode & then try to update.
If you're successful, something (probably a downloaded/non-system app) is causing the problem.
If you're still having issues, then it's time to contact Samsung...................
I have tried to boot in safe mode and wiped the cache neither work. The only app that modifies the phone is Good Lock a Samsung app. I have removed it but still no result.

Well,it sounds like you've exhausted all options outside of a Factory Reset, but,I'd call Samsung 1st to ensure it's not a server issue as @lunatic59 mentioned.............................

Yes i thought about that but here in my country Samsung doesn't have a representative, that is why I'm trying to see if someone else had this problem.

One last recommendation:
Load this app on your device,to ensure what you have is a genuine Samsung phone:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo&hl=en

I'm aware that you took some OTA system updates previously, but, just covering all possibilities,in the event you have a counterfeit & somehow, ended up getting updates prior to the latest issues you're having.

If nothing else, this is an excellent resource, the app gives all kinds of information regarding your device. :thumbsupdroid:

Well, there's some good news, appears you have the real deal. :thumbsupdroid:
That factory reset is looking like your only option at this point, unless you wanna wait & see if others have suggestions............
I will do that but i was hopin i could avoid that.

Bingo!

There you go. Many system apps share services so if you disable one you may remove functionality from the other. I would NEVER disable the Google apps if you want updates.

Turn them back on, reboot your phone and I'll bet your problem goes away.

+1
AAMOF, the app PACKAGE DISABLER PRO also specifically states to re-enable everything that the phone shipped with prior to taking updates:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpro&hl=en

Notes:
* If you have issues uninstalling apps, try Settings –> Security –> Device administrators, uncheck "package disabler admin".

* Be aware that in order to update your version of Android, you might need all original apps in place. It is advised to always have a backup of disabled packages so you can restore them later.
