Root Update safe?

I've rooted my samsung galaxy ace on 2.3.4 ddkq6 firmware. I didn't like that at all. Now the oppurtunity came to update to 2.3.6 ddkq8 offical update. Now the questions come:

1 : is it safe to update while my phone is rooted? i've fixed the permissions on the Rom Manager app, i have not installed clockworkmod recovery, and i have deleted some stock apps.

2: Will the stock apps return on the other version?

3: there are 2 ways of updating. Over the air, I download 15 mb to my phone and it updates itself. Or should I do that with the use of a computer. Via articles from androidadvices website. ( i way not put links in here)

A lot of thanks

There's a root app called ota rootkeeper on the Android market use that to keep your root on ota updates. And yes if your rooted there's a chance of soft bricking or boot loops.

Get rid of that rom manager!!!! It'll brick your phone

+1 ROM manager will HARD BRICK your phone. As in completely broken! (needing a service centre and a massively believable excuse kind of bricked.)

ROM MANAGER = BAD NEWS.
CWM recovery on its own = GOOD NEWS.

To answer your other questions. OTA update should work while rooted. Kies update wont though. Deleted stock apps will return.
