Help Update Seems to have frozen

I decided to update my Samsung Vibrant through Kies mini today. It made me wait until my battery was mostly charged, then it started. I excitedly watched it download the update and then the phone rebooted. It showed an android working in a yellow triangle and the words Downloading... Do not turn off target for a very short time. After that, Kies went to 1% and the screen turned green. I have since waited nearly an hour. The update remains at 1% and the screen remains green. How should I proceed?

I had 2.2 installed on the phone before trying to update.

OK, the situation has changed. The computer now says,
"SGH-T959 has been upgraded.
Please wait until phone reboots completely and the idle screen is displayed."

I clicked OK and now Kies has an Emergency Recovery button. I think I will press it.

I followed the instructions and changed USB ports. It is now doing an emergency recovery of firmware. I am not sure if I properly put it into recovery mode, though.

Emergency recovery failed once, I am trying again. This time, I removed the SD card and SIM. Also, I removed the battery and replaced it to make sure the phone was off before trying the recovery.

It seems to be back to normal. My home screens have been reset, but all of my data and apps are in place. It reads:
Firmware version
2.2
Baseband version
T959UVKB5

Did the phone get updated? Should I try again?

Edit: Nvm, Kies states that I am at the latest version.

Phone now refuses to ream SIM card.

After a reboot of the phone, it is now reading the SIM again.
