Update to 2.3 for Droid 2 R2D2?

My buddy and i both bought the Droid 2 this past month. I bought the R2D2 edition, he bought the regular edition. He received the update to Gingerbread 2.3 this past Monday (Nov. 8th). I keep checking and my R2D2 edition says my phone is up to date with 2.2 - Did anyone get the update to 2.3 on their R2D2 edition? Or are they not going to release the update to the R2D2s? What gives!!

Yeah I know. Thanks. I am new to the forum and saw that i posted in the wrong spot but i guess only the moderator can move the thread so I re-posted it in the correct location.

isn't the r2d2 on 2.40?
 
All I know is that the D2 versions can be very confusing. Let's stick to 2.2, 2.25, 2.3 etc. In the words of Lil Jon - CARAAAAZY

I guess we were both looking at our phones at the same time. Must be a coincidence...LMAO!!!

Ok - that was a joke. I left the time so you guys would figure it out. I haven't seen my buddies phone. So maybe he was looking at the system version instead of the Android version. I'll have him double check.

Amazing what you can do with photoshop - right??!!!!

Double checking wouldn't make a difference I guess, since it is the system version. The "internet" would be quite aware.
