Help Update to 7.0?

I'm thinking about getting this phone, but i'm reading horror stories about the latest update. Do you have to take the update when it comes in? Wouldn't it be better to stay with MM for a while, until the "kinks" are worked out of Nougat?

Guess it depends how far you trust Samsung: I have a Nexus 5X on 7.1.1 with the March 5th security update and (touchwood) everything works perfectly. It would therefore appear that if there are issues, Samsung has caused them

I have a Samsung S7 that was updated to 7.0 a few weeks ago. I've experienced no problems whatsoever!

Most of the complaints I've heard have been about battery, but Verizon just released QA4 that seems to have fixed those issues for me at least. I am very happy with Nougat and wouldn't hesitate to make the jump again if I had the choice.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Nougat, improved in all areas over MM, some niggles yes, but that was the same in MM. You will always get people bitching about changes online.

Had this large update from Verizon on my Edge S7 a couple days ago... and a lot of new updated features, the best one being a better messages program... lot's more options including "blocking" the text message spam numbers I've been getting. Best update yet.
