Update to new .215 system?

I was wondering if I should attempt to get the leaked .215. Will it void my warranty? Is is safe? Are there some bugs fixes? I am confused.

Blah. Who cares about the warranty mumbo jumbo. They have to prove that you broke the phone by installing unofficial software and if they can't prove it without a doubt then they can't deny your warranty.

Besides there's always ways to go back to stock and they won't have any clue. And you don't need to be rooted to do the 215 update so that supposed root check doesn't matter.

Go for it, you won't be disappointed. Gps is the main reason I did it originally. Locks in within seconds

Except for that pesky little Root Checker, which might be a concern to others, but if you are already rooted, no worries:

Motorola Included a Root Check in the RAZR, RAZR MAXX, and DROID4 With Ice Cream Sandwich – Droid Life

.215 was helpful to me, but it made my battery life worse. For me it made the phone more stable. No more crazy keyboard.

I have returned many rooted phones due to warranty issues. like, head phone jack not working right, phone freezing, speaker phone rattling and I have always been rooted. Although I have almost always unrooted the phone first. I have also always kept it stock so I never had to flash it back. I have the MAXX and am currently not rooted. That checker scares me lol. The last phone I had that I returned was rooted and the numbers were 1/1 I did a warranty replacement so I could be at 0/0 They didn't say anything about it being 1/1 but that isn't to say they won't start. That is why I got it replaced and haven't rooted. Just to be on the safe side. I only really used root to freeze bloat and back up with Titanium. So not being rooted isn't really that bad for me. Except when I get a replacement phone(seems like once a month lol) and I have to replace everything manually. But whatever. It is worth the piece of mind lol.
I guess the point of all this is to say that they(VZW) aren't currently caring about the checker. I am not sure what would happen if I had to go through MOTO for anything though. That might be a different story. Maybe someone who was rooted and went through the process with MOTO can chime in and let us know if things went smoothly or not.
