Help Update tonight apparently

Eh?

All I can see from this link is something about VAIO computers.

You know this is the Xperia X10 Mobile Phone forum????
 
i do indeed, the site should take you to the sny style website, it has a countdown of around 8 hours and a picture of the x10, its prob the countdown for the release of the x10 in the usa but hopefully they'll release it with 2.1 so the update should be here sooner rather than later.
 
i cant see any count down timer :S

do you really think that sony will release the 2.1 update on time...let alone early!!??

as far as i know....the X10 is already out in USA - its called the x10a where we have the x10i in the uk

My guess is the 2.1 will be early q1 2011
 
they first said Q3 2010, now it's Q4, but we expect it ... whatever we're going to get one day or a another....

Having looked at the press release and AT&T site, one thing is notable in its absence... any mention (as far as i could see and believe me I looked) of the version of Android. Just says android platform, suitably vague!!!

Yup. Xperia X10 Blog tweeted SE regarding which version of Android will ship on the AT&T X10:

Apparently, SE are more clueless than all of us thought. As 1.6 it is.
 
lmao,,, i guess sony isnt any smarter then they have been in the past,, they have totally ruined the reputation of a good quality phone
 
just off the phone with customer service at SE ( and dont beat these guys up they are just doing a job, and i can feel there frustration) but more people need to call and state there disappointment,, and do it politely,, we need to be heard on this,,, a campaign needs to activate now to rectify there slowness
 
just had a look on there and there are real differences in the way the timescape layout has been done there is now the differnt views on the top and shortcuts at the bottom and what looks like a signal bar in the left so ?????? new update pos or just show model

Well observed! Looks like they've just picked some images from their collection without thinking carefully. As you said yourself, my guess would be a show model. The guy on xda who was running 2.1 didn't report any differences with timescape, but that was a test version so...

no. this is timescape set as a home screen. you can do that, and how this will look like.
 
ech. lets start from scrach... start your timescape. hit settings buttos (the one with four squares) go to settings -> second option "Set as home screen" or sth similar depending on language. then back out to home screen and tell me what you see? I see exacly what is on the picture to the left,

I find it extremely laggy.
 
Boy does it ever slow down the phone, What is the point of using this if it takes 5 minutes to load something, LOL

Weird, the picture I see on the left is the 'expanded' timescape view, but with the splines across the top and the signal bar on the top left. We must be seeing different images :confused:
