okies im trying to do the update ota wont work and kies 3 downloads the update then just greys out and does nothing, can i asume this is cos im rooted?,
so im now trying sammobile but they are carrier specific by the looks does this matter?, and has anyone else got the vodafone files as its redirecting me to an error page?...

ok bit of help if anyone needs it,

for some reason thier site lets me download by going through the model carrier country etc dropdowns but not from the search - sm-g900f

not sure why but but there you go if you were stuck, cant get the uk only from that route tho and that fails the same ..

any downsides to odin as opposed to ota/kies?

Sorry for your troubles man, glad ya got it figured out

As for your question about odin. I personally think its grrat, easy way to quickly restore a stock rom or specific partitiin if neccessary (if your handy with making tarballs.) But be very carefull not to flash anything not specifically for your device or it'll be a bad day lol

I know one person that is on boost mobile and did the sprint's update via Odin and he said all worked well... Sprint and boost have the same model number however
