Updated 2.01 now Verizon sync fails

Anyone else having this problem? I force updated to 2.01 and all is well except for my Verizon.net email account wont sync. In settings/accounts.sync I get a sync error message under my Verizon account and a red sync circle. I get an error message at the bottom.of the screen saying-

! Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.

My Gmail account shows no error. I have had this error since updating to 2.01. Previously my Verizon account had no sync errors.

Anybody else getting this error?

I wonder if a lot of these errors are specific to those who have force sync'd their updates.

I'm curious as to why one wouldn't just wait for the official update to come through normal channels?

I do not have a Verizon.net account to test. I have 3 different accounts on my phone and all 3 are working. (Gmail, RoadRunner, work-imap)

Um cause they don't want to wait and they want it now? If you can't understand that you probably don't belong here.

Try to remember every time you have an error doesn't mean it is the phone.

Most of the time it is the service (or server) down, not a phone problem.

I should have added that my mail from Verizon otherwise seems fine. I get it on my Droid and farely quickly, but I have the sync error.

I'd see if you can set it up through outlook/windows mail/whatever mail client you want, if it is IMAP or POP. That way you can narrow it down to phone or mail service.
I didn't set up any external mails on my Droid, so I don't really know what the options are for setup of non-Gmails.

UPDATE: my verizon email account now syncs. No clue. I did turn off sync in the power control widget, then went to settings/sync and manually synced it and it synced, but that very well could have been a coincidence. But anyway it's fine for a day now. Go figure.
