Root [Updated] If you have downloaded my themes/mods please read...

Hello Fans of the C771,
A lot of users here have reported errors in my files that I have posted for Modded ROM's and themes. This case happens when you download any of my theme mods or like files, and you run out of space, making the phone impossible to boot. I have sent many users into "boot-loops"

The first thing I would like to do is apologize for this problem. I really messed up on my end, and need to thing things through before I click post.

And because of this, all of my public links to my modded files have been removed to prevent more people from loosing their phones. Again, my sincerest apologies to those of whom this may affect, and others who want to download the themes still.

But not all hope is lost. I will be re-posting all of my files with a new across-the-board update feature. Said feature will check the amount of free space on your system partition before it allows you in install the item. If you do not have enough space, it will tell you, and reboot your phone before any damage can be done.

Sorry,
Willster419

I don't own a Commando, so never had (or will have) any issue with your stuff.

BUT, it takes a lot to make a public apology like this, so thank you.

Hopefully, you'll get your stuff together and be up and running again soon. :)

Willster I am not sure that it is all your fault. That being said if you need help let me know. People have been warned about having a insecure boot.IMG on there phone. Plus I need to look at your updater scripts. If you would send them to me. So I can see what the problem is. I have never ran into this problem before. The only thing that I can say is. Flashing to the data partition on this phone can cause problems. That may be where your problem is. I will help any way I can.

Interesting,
I have flashed probably 100 differently colored themes and mod on mine without issue based on your theme update zip, (I just added more lines for the other apks)
I'd be interested in seeing your new update scripts, or discussing them with you 2.

I was considering posting my own theme set soon based loosely on will's here.

After some trying to figure out how linux scripting works (i'm a windows guy) I was able to implement the system check feature. What happens now:
My files are now re-hosted. The new download links are here: I will change the others shortly.
Each theme/mod/tool has a script that is executed before the install process. If you do not have enough space, the it will tell you, and reboot before any more can happen. So then you can go free up space:)
If you guys want to check out how I did it, it is in each one. The edify script was made by me, and the shell script was modified from an "example_output.zip" for getting the output to work in recovery mode. Also refrenced was Onandroid's technique of how to measure system used and free space. Thanks to them as well for this.

that's cool! :) great to see that I can help. The reason why i'm doing this is because of space consumption. Most users will install the Monkeytools ROM's, then install my stuff right after. Since his stuff is stock, it still has all the Verizon crap on them, and there is not enough space to install the new themes. Also it was because I did not have a "delete" command before the "extract" command. All of these problems are (hopefully) fixed.

thank you for your offer of help. I can still send you my old updater-script files, but I had found the problem in them and they have been fixed. Therefore, I can also send you the new scripts as well.
You're right about the data partition, though. I finally gave up writing application data to it because it would never seem to stick after a reboot.

I have gone through every thread that I posted that had any of the 5 files and re-linked them. They should all be all set now. Everything is good now. Hopefully :)
