Help Updated my S3

My girlfriend updated her phone last night to 4.1.2, and now every time she touches her screen it flashes red. She also has a problem with the date being completely off. Then when she gets a new message and pulls the drop menu down, it says atleast 25 new messages everytime. Has anyone seen this happen? And any solutions?

Try a hard reset. Sounds like something went wrong with the update.

For all I know, the update screwed my device. My device is constantly crashing and I had to force restart my device for at least 5 times today.

Try and do a Factory Reset, it might help.
