Updated Tasker

You can view the full release notes here: Tasker for Android

LOTS of new stuff. I haven't tried any out, but there are several that look particularly interesting:

• action Alert / Beep
• action Alert / Morse
• permission RECEIVE_SMS for new Android 4.4+ SMS support
• state BT Near, relevant Monitor Prefs settings, and corresponding entries in action Set Tasker Pref
• action Phone / Set SMS App (change default, Android 4.4+)
• state Variable Value: multi conditions
• multiple If conditions in actions
• action Load App: specific activity selection via long-click

I've had a look at the BT Near, but not sure what its about. Can you provide an explanation? :)

I think it functions similarly to the Wifi Near context - Tasker will periodically use Bluetooth to scan for nearby (but not necessarily connected) device.

I'm not exactly sure why you would use BT Near instead of BT Connected; maybe you could use it to disable your sexy ringtone if you're near your wife's phone? :D

I've just noticed that when loading an app, there are now options for the app to do something when it opens. This sounds great and something I will explore
