Root Updated to 2.3.6 and Can't Root phone...

Help! I've done everything that I can think to do with my admire since I updated it, including installing the samsung_admire_rc3 rom, but now the cache won't mount, what do I do to rescue my phone from brickness?

Ok, I went back to the stock 2.3.6 update, I still have cwm 5.0.2.7, so, which route should I take to root it so that I can de-bloat it?

Root never really stuck with my phone when I did it myself. TiBu usually read it as unrooted. But there's a "rom" that someone released called android apex (based on the official 2.3.6) that has root and busybox. TiBu worked perfectly fine.

I think I got it :)... well, HAD it for a few minutes, until something revoked my root rights... I downloaded tibu and rom toolbox lite, and super manager... any idea as to what could have revoked my root rights?

Ok, I'm gonna give that rom a try... here goes nothing.

Edit 1: Now it sits on a screen that says android forever and a day, is this normal for the first boot?

Edit 2: I gave up and went back to the stock 2.3.6, I just want my phone to work again, and this process is ticking me off right now because it hasn't booted properly since the last time I had the stock update on it. I want to have the power to kill the bloatware, but this run-around is taking too much of my time and energy.

Edit 3: Took some time away from my labor of love, and then when I came back, after a few more tries, I got android apex working and I am officially bloatware and blah-ness free. Thanks to you, elfy23, for suggesting it, and to the developers who produced it, thanks a million.

Weird... I never had a problem when I rooted mine, after installing the 2.3.6 update. It stuck, and I would check by opening up Titanium Backup
