Root Updated to 5.9.902, now says Update failed

Newbie
I updated to 5.9.902 using FXZ, then rooted using Motofail. Everything went smoothly, but now my phone keeps popping up with the message "Download of update failed", and when I go to System updates in About Phone, it says an update is currently being downloaded.
What could I do to stop this message? Did I do anything wrong? This is my first Android so im following all the guides I can, I have a backup made with Safestrap. Anyone help?

There is a way. You need to freeze the updater with tibu. I can't remeber what the app was though. I will try and fing it and post back.

You can try and rename Upgrader.apk or BlurUpdater_VZW.apk to Upgrader.Bak or BlurUpdater_VZW.bak with root exploere. I would do one at a time and make a backup before you try anything.

Good Luck

You can use the filter in Titanium for "update" and freeze the one that looks appropriate. I had 2 meet that criteria and I was able to select the right one.
