Root [updated] Validus 13 rom by Ground Zero Roms

funkylogik

share the love peeps ;)
[ignore the negative posts, this rom has really developed]
Anyone used any of these guys roms yet?
I loved their roms on the s3 and the wife has finally allowed me to rom my grouper so this is the first im gona try.
I love how they have a fascination for evil clowns lol.
Ill let you know how it is but ive heard great things about the grouper build :)

So it seems nice but although the kernel is overclockable to 1.5ghz, it isn't as smooth as Franko kernel so I ended up flashng Franco onto it :D
Tbh I'd have gone back to my previous setup but accidentally deleted that nandroid :banghead:
There's nothing wrong with this ROM and I'm certainly not knocking the dev but the native features don't do anything xposed can't do.
The ROM with Franco does SEEM to feel and benchmark better than stock with Franco but is that possible or is it placebo?
Like, is the speed and smoothness of a device all down to the kernel or does the rest of the ROM make a difference too?

Wow I forgot about this thread lol and I'm not ashamed to change my opinion.
5.1.was excellent and 5.2.is better.
Anyone want a link let me know.
Run it in ART and flash Franco Kernel for a lightening fast lil machine :):thumbup:

Im kinda dissapointed that the latest Franco R75 kernel isn't multiRom compatible as it apparently is missing the kexec patch.

I did buy the FK updater app and check in every now and then, seems like development of it has stalled.

Think I'm on r79 mate. I don't use multirom. How not install an older kernel until Franco gets his car together. I know he has a few projects on the go.

I think I started with r76 and it was certainly MultiROM compatible. As funky said, on r79 and it is fine with MultiROM. Do you have a particular reason for sticking with r75?

Unless I am missing something obvious in the FKU app it would appear r75 is the only choice.
