Updating Android 2.3.3

I have a SG S Plus which came installed with GB2.3.3. I see that GB is now up to v2.3.7; is it worth updating to this version and if so how do I do it. Will it affect my home page/installed widgets etc. Thanks.
 
You can only upgrade if there is an upgrade available for your device. Samsung has to make it so the latest Android version will work for your device. So, to check to see if there is an update available, to to Settings > System Updates and see if there is an update available.

Updating also does not change your widgets or any other data options.
