Root Updating from the SD card

Is there a way to update to 2.3.6 using the SD card? My phone doesn't have CWM and I can't connect to a PC. Theres something going on with it and I think its the software. I want to update to see if that helps.
 
Short answer no.

Long answer. No. unless you get the update OTA. Unfortunatly the update stopped rolling out due to problems so you wont get it OTA. What problems are yoy having? They may be solved in a different way.
 
there is no short answer to my problem, so here it goes. Phone won't charge while its on. It doesn't recognize the charger. But when its off it charges, very slowly, takes about 10 hours to charge to 97%. When I hook it up to my PC's USB it tells me un recognized device attached. I have loaded and reloaded the drivers many times. I have used multiple cords and chargers. None seem to work. I was hoping the update may re write the software and maybe it would work.

You could just upgrade via Odin or CWM.

Have u flashed a rom? .... ..if u dont ..and. u have stock recovery and! Stock rom u can update from the sd card ..

I updated from the sd card
just download this http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?p=4354376.
..

Then boot into recovery and choose update from the SD card wait for the script to finish ...it take like 10 minutes to finish and u are done ...hope the work for u..it worked for me:)
