Root Updating ROM on Tab2 10.1 to Slimkat 4.4.2

Hi, Im Alistair, Im very new to this forum. I have a Tab 2 with an early rom. Just got my son a Lenovo that has KitKat 4.4.4 and it is like lightening. So I would like to upgrad the ROM on the Tab 2, but it really looks hard. I am fine with loading OS on PC's because I am used to them, but this Android stuff....... Is there a list of kind chaps that would like to update it for me for beer tokens, or is there a very basic but completely informative guide ie: download *this* and put it *here* etc?

Your help would be greatly appreciated

Oh boy, that's an old Tab if it is the 10.1 in the thread title.:( I fear there won't be much newer as the latest I've found it circa July 2011 and is most likely Honeycomb.
