Help updating the galaxy s2 need help

Hi all,

I'm on 2.3.3 that came stock with the phone. My phone has a shit battery life of about 10 hours with a fair bit of use. In 3d games it heats up where I have to stop playing the game. I've read that 2.3.4 or 2.3.5 fixes this heating problem and somewhat of the battery problem. I'm totally new at this updating thing and it seems that there are a million different versions to update to. I don't know whats the difference between them all, but I just want something that will fix these problems and not brick or destroy my phone.

Also an update that takes the noise away from the camera would be nice, but I think I would have to be rooted.

I know I sound like the biggest noob and whatever for asking this question that most likely has been asked a million times, but could someone just tell me what a safe update is and where to download and a gist of how to get it on my phone and will I lose all my apps that?

Thanks all,
Sam

you can update your while rooting it and u'll lost the warranty given by the Samsung . If you want to get the update officially you have to wait for a while already the update is rolled to some countries, you want to get the update connect the s2 to kies and it will automatically detect the any update firmware is available, kies automatically detects and download the firmware for your phone.

I was looking to flash it with an update, Im in aus and I know it hasent rolled out here. What is a good update to flash at the moment and where and how should i download it and upload it to the phone.
