I decided to update my moment almost as soon as the update was available from sprint (many months ago). After spending a few hours and going nowhere I gave up. For some reason the install would just hang before the software download onto the phone and I couldn't find any solutions online.
I got to the point where I wanted to install apps that required 1.6 or greater so I gave it another try. This time I got a little further, but it stalled again just before the software download to the phone. I was getting a large partition error or something similar and no progress would show on the install progress bar. I tried a number of times on all USB ports, restarted the PC, but nothing worked. I decided to give up again, but this time the process went far enough to remove the OS software from the phone. When I turned the phone on I got a screen that seemed to indicate that I needed to connect the phone to the PC. I did some more searching on the web and again found nothing except that someone had a link in this forum for the application to reinstall android 1.5. Luckily it worked and it got the phone working again. The application ran exactly like the 2.1 software, but without any hick up so I decided that since the phone was back to its virgin state to give the 2.1 install another try and thankfully it worked. Things to note, it only takes a few minutes to install the update. If you are waiting a half an hour without any progress then the install of 2.1 is stuck.
