Root Upgrade/Downgrade

If I upgrade the firmware to Froyo 2.2, can I downgrade again if I find it too buggy like others have?

Even I am not entirely sure myself, but so far I haven't ran into any serious problem yet.

Upgraded now, all ok and seems much smoother after rooting again and lagfix

And oh, how's the battery doing?

Battery life so far seems very good, but for how I use the phone it wasn't that bad for me on 2.1, but using anything like Myplayer / iPlayer soon runs it down though.
General use without gps/sat-nav/bluetooth on, still got half battery left at bedtime
