Help upgrade firmware...

so i just started using my phone again and i want to update the firmware. right now im on 2.1-update1 and im on the sgh-t959

im not so good with this sorta stuff so is there anyway i can update the software?

The usual method of updating the phone is to download and install Samsung Kies onto your PC and connect your phone via USB in Kies mode. It depends on whether T-Mobile have any updates for your phone or not.

I tried that but I don't think I can do that until i get it upgraded to 2.2 and I'm having trouble upgrading it to that...
