Help Upgrade motorola defy from android 2.1 to 2.2 ?

Hello guys im looking to buy the motorola defy this week so i read that if you upgrade to 2.2 it would be faster and smoother .
but this is my first android phone so i dont know anything on how to upgrade .
if there is a video or a website that shows step by step , that would be great .

Welcome to AF. If the Defy is getting 2.2 it will likely be pushed to the phone. Enjoy the forums.

I would check and verify time and again the email syncronization issue before buying a Defy! Motorola promised me to solve the issue in the 2.2 update, but I would not count on them... (sync issue: http://androidforums.com/motorola-d...l-client-stops-autosyncing-after-8-hours.html)

I have (3) different POP3 accounts synching every hour...no issues with message delivery or widget updating. I'm also using power mgmt. set for disconnecting data after 15 minutes.
