Upgrade my Nexus 4

Hi guys,

I have an old Nexus 4, I got a upgrade notification long time ago from google. I heard new upgrade may make the phone slow, is that correct? thanks.

Not true. I've had no problems at all with my Nexus 4 since getting the upgrade. I just let the OTA update do it's thing and all is good.

I doubt that it will make your phone slow. Typically the updates have been really nice from Google, I haven't heard many negative things about an update from Google in awhile

Going back a version is a bit of work. Don't worry, you won't need or want to.

If you have rooted and installed a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM you can make a complete backup image of your phone and restore it this point at any time you like. However, as everyone has said, the updates from Google have improved the phone and really haven't caused any problems. You may need to clear a cache and reboot, but that's pretty much it.

I have to say, my phone does seem a little less zippy after installing 4.4.3 ..

The difference isn't vast so it could be my imagination, of course
