I have a Galaxy Tab GT P1000 which looks as if an attempt to upgrade it has been made at some point in the past. My goal is to upgrade it to KitKat but it seems to be stuck in some intermediate upgrade state at the moment and so I am unable to make use of the many guides on the internet.
Device status in the setting menu shows
Model Number GT-P1000
Firmware Version 2.3.3
Kernel Version 2.6.35.7 root@DEL101 #2
Build Number GINGERBREAD.XWJP9
When I press volume up/Power I dont get the normal upgrade screen I get
-------------------------------------
Verifying internal MMC block...
checksum confirmation -> check(0)
Not need checksum confimation
Already executed""...
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Updating application...
-------------------------------------
Then after a few moments, Then Andriod recovery system <3e> is displayed
-------------------------------------
Then Andriod recovery system <3e>
Enter: OK Key, Select : Vol UP / Vol Down
reboot system now
apply update from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition.
-------------------------------------
Can anyone offer me any advice on the simplest route to upgrade this device to kitkat.
Many Thanks
