Hey I am currently running Android 3.2 on my Samsung Galaxy 8.9 Tab, Wondering if its possible to upgrade to the latest verstion of Jelly Bean 4.2? If so could it cause any damage like bricking? And could there be data lose that I can backup?

If it is please give me few links on how to.

Thanks in advance,

My tablet isnt rooted anymore when I put the root firmware though I only downloaded 2 apps I then went into accounts to add a new google account after that The device shut itself down unpecxtly after that it wouldnt go past the bootloader (Soft Bricked)

I tried putting md5 firmware though and it kept outputting an error. After several attempts I finall got the orginal firmware to work.

As much as I like root access Its best to stay with the orginal firmware till I finshed by the contracted off(24mths)
Unless There is away that wont brick the device/have bricking risks.

If this doesen,t require root access it should work.

This also says warranty may be voided which may illegal if the carrier finds out.
