Upgrading Android OS in Lava S12

[Deepakpatil76]

Hi... i have a Lava S12 which runs Aondroid 2.2. Is there any way i can upgrade the OS? I tried searching the web and there are a lot of videos on youtube for Samsung phones but nothing for Lava S12. Are there ways/software to get "any" phone upgraded? I am quite a novice and hence looking for detailed step by step process that is free of jargon.

I am not familiar with this device, but try going to Settings > About phone > Software update. Unless that's the only Android Version available, another way you could have an upgraded OS would to go about rooting the device and Flashing a custom ROM.
