Upgrading Android Version

Hi
My device is Samsung Galaxy S Advance(GT-I9070) Its Android 2.3.6.
What should I do to install 4.0.3 or 4.1(JB) ?
In device setting there is an option of upgrade but it just says no upgrade available. What does this mean? is my phone not compatible with higher version??

Welcome to the forums, vikaslohia.
Unfortunately, unless Samsung has rolled out an update, you'll need to root and install a custom ROM. It's very unlikely that your phone will be upgraded to Jelly Bean, unfortunately.

I just bought this fone, I thought its upgradable. It cost me a fortune, and now I learn I may never be upgraded...

dreadnatty08 is correct. You will have to wait and hope Samsung releases Android 4.0 for your phone. This is how it works with all Android phones. Google releases a new OS version then it's up to the individual manufacturer to release it for your particular phone. Your best bet is to keep checking in to the subsection for your phone.
